Festival Pantiero 12 and 13 July 2017 Cannes
Pantiero returns on July 12 and 13 and will take a radically rocking turn, while preserving its original soul of prescriber, with the requirement of a program mixing confirmed and emerging groups.
Stéphane Barbieri, the successor of Jean-Marie Sevain, who is flying to other adventures after 15 years of programming, invites the diversity of the national and international rock scene: from cold wave to shoegaze, from garage to post-punk.
A glance at previous editions, with Nicolas Fromageau, the Antibois, co-founder of M83, scheduled in 2002, returns to the stage of the Festival with Team Ghost and his coldgaze rock. Flag of rock, the English will of course be present in the programming: the revelation Rat Boy, and his indie rock, punk, hip hop; Toy, inspired by the psychedelic sounds of the 60's as well as by the shoegazing mists of the 80's and Circa Waves four young Liverpoolers overflowing with energy, they all 3 deliver a rock typical of British and inherently communicative. The Americans will complete the line-up with The Soft Moon, a powerful, intense, radical music oscillating between cold wave and post-punk, they will offer the premiere of their latest album with a unique date in France. Twin Peaks, a brilliant quintet from Chicago's underground scene, will feature a rock garage that is both raw, pop and sunny, and has all the assets to create a sensation on the Festival.
